The Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU) is Lithuania’s largest higher education institution specializing in biomedical sciences, integrating studies, research, and clinical practice. It comprises two academies: the Medical Academy and the Veterinary Academy.
Medical, odontology, and nursing students gain practical experience at LSMU Hospital Kauno Klinikos, the largest medical institution in the region, where over 1,200 doctors and 2,400 nursing staff care for more than 78,000 patients annually. Pharmacy students train at the University Pharmacy, while veterinary students develop practical skills in the Veterinary Academy’s animal clinics and operating rooms.
LSMU actively participates in the Erasmus+ exchange programme, collaborating with partner institutions.
