Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) is a major hub for international medical education, attracting over 3,200 international students from more than 90 different countries. Among them is a significant community of over 500 Finnish students. This large group is actively supported by their own student society, RISLOry (Riian Suomalaiset Lääketieteen Opiskelijat ry), which fosters a strong sense of community. RISLOry organizes a wide range of events, from traditional "sitsit" parties and "pikkujoulut" (Christmas parties) to academic workshops, sports, and their annual ball.
